…… Words of Thanks ……
Dear Mr. Moriya,
Dear colleague,
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for all your hard work and dedication to make ECR 2023 a success. I hope you enjoyed the Congress as much as I did.
I have received numerous emails, telephone messages and personal communications congratulating and complimenting us for the excellent and innovative ECR 2023 programme, and I’d like to pass these compliments on to you. None of this would have been possible without the efforts and contributions of the 1867 Faculty members; you gave freely of your time and expertise to ensure an exceptional quality of scientific content during the Congress. For this I am truly grateful.
It is because of your intense efforts and enthusiasm that ECR 2023 was a truly remarkable experience, the high point of my own personal radiology career, and, I hope, an inspiring week for all our participating colleagues.
The “Cycle of Life” theme allowed us expand the horizons of the educational content of the Congress, to incorporate applications of our skills and techniques at all stages of life, and in applications we often don’t consider, or don’t know about. No participant in this year’s Congress could be left unaware of the vast breadth of contributions by radiology to human life, healthcare and well-being, and of the great value we bring to patients and to society as a whole through our work. This is exactly what I hoped to achieve with this year’s Congress theme: something for everyone at the Congress, and especially something new or unexpected for attendees interested in looking beyond their own particular practice and academic boundaries. Thanks to you, I believe that we achieved this goal.
ECR 2023 maintained our hybrid approach to delivery of all educational material. Nonetheless, the statistics indicate that a very large majority of the over 17,000 registrants attended the Congress in person, representing a welcome return to embracing all that ECR has to offer, including the social and networking opportunities in addition to the educational content. For those who could not be present in person, we are pleased that much of the value of ECR could still be experienced online, and we hope to see these participants in person in future Congresses.
Again, many thanks to all of you for your support and your work. Events such as ECR 2023 could not happen without your input, and I look forward to future collaborations and continued good relations.
With warmest regards,
Adrian Brady
